I would like to deviate from my usual blog post and talk about something that has always been part of human cultures all over the world since time immemorial – the connection between prayers and healing.
I will not be focusing on any study (although there are plenty, some even by medical practitioners) but I would like to use the powers of symbols: the lighthouse.
Some people find it effective to combine medical treatment, wellness practices, and prayers in their healing journey. While I do not prescribe that to my clients, I also find it logical and meaningful that some of them CHOOSE to include prayers in their healing path.
For me, whatever your religion or faith is, prayer is establishing a direct connection to your Source. It is like a conscious and deliberate act of looking at the lighthouse while traveling in the dark. It brings hope and guarantee that we are not alone in this journey and that there is guide – always available.
We are still in charge of our own process in the same way that we are still navigating the seas.
Those who pray and those who truly believe do not relinquish or give up their participation in their healing processes, they simply pay attention to the tides, the waves, and the light.
"Nature gave men two ends - one to sit on and one to think with.
Ever since then man's success or failure has been dependent on the one he used most."

Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means.
- Robert Louis Stevenson
Never make your home in a place. Make a home for yourself inside your own head. You'll find what you need to furnish it - memory, friends you can trust, love of learning, and other such things. That way it will go with you wherever you journey.
